You can now follow the following procedure to update.

***Please follow the instruction below to update. Improper operation may damage the camera.***

Installation Instruction:

Important Note:

•  Before installation, make sure your camera, remote and SD card function normally and the battery level is not low.

•  The procedure is very simple, but please read the installation procedures carefully and make sure that the installation won't be interrupted in the midway.

•  In the following, the ‘Root directory' means the top level of your SD card. Do not put the image.bin file in any folder such as DCIM.

•  If you have multiple SG550s to upgrade, you need follow step 1 to 5 every time for each camera. The camera takes the image.bin file and erases it from your SD card for each upgrade, so, you must redo step 1 for your next upgrade.

Installation Instruction:

•  Copy and paste the image.bin file to the ROOT directory of your SD card on your computer using SD card reader.

•  Load battery, insert the SD card and plug the remote.

•  Power on the camera. You will hear three short beeps. You will see “ Take Out SD Card now! ” on the LCD. Please take out the SD card within 20 seconds and leave the power on, then “ Updating ** Please Keep Powering On ” will be blinking in the LCD. Otherwise, the error message "Updating cannot be done with SD card in ” will be shown on the LCD.

•  The update process will take about 40 seconds. If upgrade succeeds, you will hear three short beeps again, “ USB UPDATE Successful ” will be displayed on the LCD. Otherwise, “ USB UPDATE Failed ” will be displayed on the LCD.

•  After the upgrade is finished, please shut down the camera, insert the SD card, and power on again. Your camera is now equipped with the new firmware.

Trouble Shooting:

In some cases, during step 3, after you turn the power on, you hear three short beeps but your remote is blank blue and no info on it, that means your remote is not connected properly. Please still take the card out at this point but leave the power on. Your camera is upgrading without the remote, please DO NOT shut down your camera. Wait for 40-60s, you should hear another three short beeps, which means the upgrading is finished. You can shut down your camera at this point and insert your SD card and power on again to check if your camera is working normally.
